Okay, so i had trouble with this book at first because it was quite a slow start for me that i kept having to put it down and read something else, it wasn’t until about half way through the book did i start to feel more connected to Mia and her story and where i started to truly feel for her.
The writing style was beautiful and so easy to get into that the paragraphs flowed quite well, it was really just the pacing i had issues with.
I enjoyed a lot of the characters, especially the adults who presented times of humour as well as seriousness which i just found BRILLIANT !
I also enjoyed the great emphasis on family that was presented and how family does not just mean those who was blood related.
I did have some issues with the layout of real time and then flashbacks as i found the flashbacks to be out of sequence which made things confusing and strange for me constantly. I also felt that the flashbacks were presented at each moment when i started to connect myself to the story and so it just brought me back to being disconnected and uninterested.
The story line was really good and i loved the concept of choice in this book.
I overall really enjoyed this book and have so many things i liked despite my problems with it.
I plan to read the second book in the coming months and will be doing an in depth series review on my blog
so keep an eye out for that
Also this was my first time using tabs to mark fav parts :) I think ill only do it to some books though …
