This book was absolutely INCREDIBLE!!!!

I tried to post my review onto here but I think it was too long so they wouldn’t let me…

So here is a snippet of my review which is on my goodreads and blog now, which are linked in my bio:

"I love reading cutesy love stories but this book is more than that which I didn’t expect myself to enjoy so much. I loved the dual perspectives in the one chapter, as you get the different/similar point of views of each of the characters when it came to certain events which I thought was great. You also get to see what Eleanor & Park see in each other when they are together such as their feelings, thoughts and insecurities. Their relationship is probably one of my favourites that I have ever read as they show that you don’t need elaborate things and dates in order to be happy as a couple. I loved that minimal aspect of their relationship."

A GIGANTIC 5 OUT OF 5 STARS!!!!!

This book was Amazing!!!

The book follows the events of 9/11 and how it has affected Claire, Jasper & Peter on the day and the months/years that followed.

At first I wasn’t really interested in the story but as the book progressed I began to feel all the emotions of the three main characters.

The story really shows how a community or rather a country can come together after such a tragic event. It showed how even those not personally connected to the tragedy were greatly affected by it as well.

I’m not from the US so I wasn’t as greatly affected by it but I can still remember that day and the saddness I felt even as a little child. It was interesting to get that further insight into the emotions and thoughts of those who were around even from a fictional perspective.

The writing was beautiful and I lovef the layout as even when a chapter ended, it continued in the next one from another perspective. I really loved Jasper’s character as he was the main person who wasn’t sure how he felt until he meets Claire. I love how their 3 separate stories intertwine to create one story and you can see how they connect to one another.

I really enjoyed reading this book and am looking forward to reading more of David Levithan in the future.

4.5 Stars!

Absolutely beautiful!!!!!

The book is told in dual perspective of the 2 main characters, Emma and Dexter. They meet on July 15 in 1988 as they graduate college. The story follows their lives after that day.

I just love the format of this book so much. Basically the chapters follow to events of that one day (July 15) each year after 1988 and it is just brillant. Even though there’s a whole year gap since the previous chapter, David Nicholls finds a way to write about that one day’s events as well as giving the reader insight into what may have happened in the last year.

This story is more than just a love story which I really enjoyed. It was about 2 people trying to figure out who they are and who they wanna be. It’s also about life, and the ups and downs of adulthood.

At times I was annoyed with the characters but I think thats what gave it so much more of a compelling story as you really get invested in these people’s lives and start to see things from their point of view.

The characters are relatable, the writing and structure was amazing and the story was absolutely beautiful.
I am definitely looking forward to checking out the movie now!

I highly recommend this book to every one.
